What This Service Covers

The $100 Shipping Coordination Service covers everything involved in getting your Prancing Pony Farm Maremma safely transported from our farm to you — whether that means a commercial airline flight or a vetted ground shipper.

This is not just a booking fee. Here’s the full scope of what we do:

• Evaluate the best transport option for your dog — We assess air vs. ground based on your dog’s size, the time of year, your destination, and carrier availability
• Contact and vet carriers — We reach out to airlines or qualified ground shippers, confirm current pricing and policies, and handle all bookings directly
• Transport your dog to our veterinarian for the CVI — A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection is required for all interstate animal transport. We coordinate the appointment, transport your dog to the vet, and handle all paperwork (You’ll set up your own account with our veterinarian and pay for services after the appointment.)
• Prepare all travel documentation — Health certificates, required airline or ground shipper forms, and any state-specific requirements
• Coordinate layover kennels when required — For multi-leg flights, we arrange and confirm any intermediate kenneling
• Communicate all details to you — You’ll receive transport details, pickup instructions, and confirmation every step of the way
• Manage changes or issues — If anything shifts, we handle it

Air or Ground — We Decide What’s Best

We use commercial air transport as our primary shipping method. For dogs that exceed airline crate size limits, or during seasonal airline weather embargoes, we research vetted ground shipping options. Ground shipping is subject to availability — we only work with shippers we’ve personally evaluated.

Either way, this $100 fee covers the coordination work. We don’t charge separately for air vs. ground. You pay for our time and expertise, not for a specific method.

What You’ll Need to Provide:

• Preferred destination airport if shipping by air
• Any scheduling preferences or constraints
• Confirmation that you’ve established an account with our veterinarian for the CVI

Important Timeline: This coordination typically requires 3-5 business days once we have all your information. Book early to ensure availability during peak travel seasons.

Separate Costs Not Included:

• Airline or ground shipping charges (typically $500-$1,500 per dog)
• Travel crate package for airline shipping ($300+/- per dog, purchased separately)
• Airport delivery fee (purchased separately)
• CVI veterinary examination (paid directly to vet, typically $150-$200 per dog)
• Layover kennel services if required (paid in advance after quote, typically $150-$200 per dog)

This coordination service fee is 100% NON-REFUNDABLE once purchased.

This fee compensates our time spent researching routes, contacting airlines, coordinating schedules, and preparing documentation. Once we begin work on your shipping arrangements, this time cannot be recovered.

• You will not cancel or postpone after coordination work has begun
