Puppy Reservation Fees & Lists
- Reservations are filled in the order they are received and no puppy or dog will be held without a paid reservation fee.
- If we do not have a puppy available from a current litter that suits your needs, you may go on our Master Waiting List at any time by paying a $500 non-refundable Reservation fee. This puts you in line for a puppy from a future litter but does not commit you to a particular litter.
- Once a litter that suits your needs becomes available, you can switch to that Litter List according to your place in line on the Master Reservation List.
- If you have reserved a puppy from a current or upcoming litter, but an older puppy or adult dog becomes available that would better suit your needs, you may transfer your reservation to that dog.
- This Reservation Fee signifies a commitment between Prancing Pony Farm and the customer and covers the time spent with that customer. Therefore, it is non-refundable for any reason. However, this fee may be transferred to a later litter at PPF’s discretion. If the customer chooses to transfer to a new litter, the price will reflect the current advertised puppy price of the new litter, not the price of the previous litter.
- All sales are final unless the dog has a health issue covered under the health guarantee or the 72-hour vet exam.
Final Payment Due Dates and Puppy Contracts
Final Payments for puppies are due at twelve weeks old. This is so that we have a firm commitment from the customer and can begin making shipping arrangements or setting up customer pick-up of the puppy and completing the necessary paperwork, contracts, etc.
Full payment is required to hold adult dogs or puppies over 12 weeks old.
There are no refunds once a final payment has been made or if the owner wishes to return the dog to us. The payment may be credited towards another dog or a puppy from a future litter at Prancing Pony Farm’s discretion.
The BUYER and BREEDER will sign the puppy contract before making pick-up or shipping arrangements. The contract will be sent to the BUYER via Breeder Cloud Pro to be signed digitally once we know which puppy the client is purchasing. Sample contracts can be viewed on our website.
Maremma Sheepdog Accepted Payment Methods
We do not accept checks, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, wire transfers, or other payment methods for puppy reservations, puppy payments, shipping fees, or other dog-related payments. We have three approved payment methods. These options are as follows:
- The GoodDog secure payment system. Good Dog offers purchase protection and additional support to new puppy owners for a fee. However, there is also a fee-free option for those who do not wish to pay this fee.
- Credit or debit is accepted through our Honeybook payment system. There will be a 3% transaction fee for those who wish to pay through the Honeybook payment system.
- Cash. (For those picking up their puppy in person.)

How to Opt Out of Payment Processing Fees on GoodDog
Please follow the instructions below if you’d like to opt out of Payment and Support when making a Good Dog payment. It is my understanding that you must pay through a bank transfer, not a credit or debit card, to avoid fees. This is quick, easy to set up, and totally secure.
