At the Sign of the Prancing Pony

The Prancing Pony Farm Newsletter

Hi Reader,

โ€‹

Guess what I have been doing all night? Writing the first in a new series of blog posts inspired by my readers! Why have I been at this all night, you ask? See, I have two problems. I am a terrible night owl, and I have ADHD. (Which I didn’t even realize until I went through KPA Professionals. ๐Ÿ˜‚)

โ€‹

On a “normal” night, I stay up until 2 or 3 am. But when that ADHD hyperfocus kicks in, I often find myself still awake when the sun comes up. I get started on a project and just can’t stop. Kind of like these party animals who usually finally go to sleep once the sun is up. ๐Ÿ˜†

So yesterday, Tracey responded to last week’s email with a training question about her 9-week-old Maremma puppy. I started to reply, but I knew if I wrote a blog post about it and sent it to the email list, many other people would benefit from my answer. So I decided that’s what I would do after I came in from doing my barn chores.

โ€‹

But I didn’t come in from the barn until after Midnight (normal this time of year), and I had a few things to do. I finally sat down and started writing the post, which took much longer than expected.

โ€‹

But I am trying really hard to send out an email once a week, and I knew if I didn’t finish the post, I would end up skipping a week. I didn’t want to let Tracey or anyone else down, so I let hyperfocus carry me through! ๐Ÿคช

โ€‹

So, thanks to the “gift” of ADHD, here is the first post in a new series of “User Generated Livestock Guardian Dog FAQs” on “How to get my Maremma Puppy to Stop Biting My Goats.”

โ€‹

Thanks for the inspiration, Tracey! And I hope everyone else enjoys the new series and finds it helpful.

โ€‹

โ€‹

If you have a question you would like to see featured in the blog and email list, don’t be shy; send it in!

โ€‹

My best ideas come from you, and together, we can help more dogs and their owners. ๐Ÿ’œ

โ€‹

You can send photos or videos of your dogs if you want me to share them. To protect your privacy, I will only use first names or initials.

โ€‹

And now I am going to make like a Maremma and go take a nap! ๐Ÿฅฑ๐Ÿ˜ด

Kim
