Hello Reader,
โ
I hope you’re having a great summer! The last couple of months have been so busy! In April, Luna (my Boxer and training partner) and I spent a week in Corona, California, at the week-long in-person final workshop for the Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Professional program. This was the final leg of my six-month journey to become a professional dog trainer so that I could better train my Maremmas and support my clients. I learned so much and had so much fun. ๐ฏ

Click the link below to read more about the workshop and see lots of great photos in the blog post I wrote.
There are even photos of a clicker-trained pig! ๐
โ
Since I’ve been home, I have been busy catching up on all the work I put off in my business and farm for the past six months. There are puppies to train, goats to wrangle, and lots of chores and office work to be done! ๐ฆฎ๐๐ด
โ
I have also completed two more dog training courses – UnChase Rural Dog and the L.E.G.S Applied Ethology Family Dog Mediation course (more about that in a future email) – and started working on another course (Suzanne Clothier’s Enriched Puppy Protocol). Learning never ends! ๐๐ป
โ
My husband, Steve, and I also spent two weeks on the East Coast (Virginia & North Carolina) visiting family and meeting our two new grandsons! (Grandkids 13 & 14!) ๐
โ
Now that all the traveling is over and I am starting to catch up on things, I plan to get back to writing more regularly. ๐ I have so many ideas for articles on training dogs, keeping goats healthy, and more.
โ
Many of my ideas come from people like you, who contact me with questions about Maremmas or goats. I use those questions as content ideas. I share every new post I write with this email list, so if you want to stay in the know, stay tuned!
โ
Talk to you soon!
Kim
