At the Sign of the Prancing Pony

The Prancing Pony Farm Newsletter

Hello Reader,

I am sooooo excited about what I have to share with you this week! Probably the number one question I get from EVERYONE – my Maremma puppy clients, my email list, my social media followers, and my Livestock Guardian dog training clients is:

“How do I introduce my new Livestock Guardian Dog to my ________ (sheep, goats, chickens, etc)?

Or there’s:

“How do I get my young Livestock Guardian Dog to stop chasing my ________ (sheep, goats, chickens, etc)?”

I have been meaning to write a blog post about this for AGES, but life always gets in the way. Well, I have something even better than a blog post for you – a video!

I went out the other night, meaning to make a video about an entirely different subject (that one is coming soon!), but instead, I ended up with a pretty cool dog training demonstration!

Now, I’ll be the first to admit that my video editing skills leave a lot to be desired. I’m Gen X, not Gen Z! 😆 But the information and real-life demonstration make up for my video’s lack of style and tech wizardry. And there are cool dogs, cute goats, and my adorable barn kitty, Venda! 😻

I still plan to write a blog post with more details on safe livestock introductions and preventing chase behavior, but I hope you enjoy the video for now!

Let me know if you enjoy this video and have any LGD or goat topics you would like me to address in a future video or blog post. My goal is to help people like you, so my ideas come from you!

Talk soon,

Kim
