Our Two Contract Types
Limited Registration Contract
For companion dogs and working livestock guardians
This contract is designed for families who want a wonderful Maremma as a livestock guardian dog or companion, but don’t plan to breed their dog. It includes all our standard guarantees and support.

For qualified breeding homes only
This contract is for experienced dog owners who meet our breeding requirements and want to contribute to improving the Maremma breed. Additional requirements apply, including health testing and breeding approval.

Important Details
- Non-Refundable Reservation Fees: $500 reservation fee secures your place on our waiting list. This is non-refundable but transferrable, should your timeline change
- Final Payment: Due when puppy reaches 12 weeks of age
- Pick-up/Shipping: Coordinated after contract signing and final payment
- Registration Transfer: Completed after puppy goes home and you decide on a name
Frequently Asked Questions About Our Contracts
Q: Why do you require spay/neuter for limited registration?
A: This ensures only carefully selected, health-tested dogs contribute to future generations, protecting the breed’s health and working ability.
Q: What happens if my dog develops a health issue?
A: Contact us immediately. Our 2-year health guarantee covers genetic conditions, and we’ll work with you and your vet to address the issue.
Q: Do you really provide lifetime support?
A: Absolutely. We’re here for training questions, behavior concerns, health issues, or anything else for your dog’s entire life.
Q: Why do most puppies go home on Limited Registration?
To protect the breed and make sure only dogs who meet strict health, temperament, and working standards are bred.
Q: I might want to breed later—can I decide after I take my puppy home?
No. Breeding rights must be part of your original contract. If breeding isn’t in your plan now, your puppy will go home on Limited Registration and is not eligible for upgrade later.
Q: What happens if there’s an accidental litter on Limited Registration?
That violates the contract and the puppies cannot be registered.
